 Allan Starkie is a Partner at Knightsbridge Advisors, Inc. specializing in wealth management. He also provides management consulting and merger and acquisition support for many of the company’s major clients.
Prior to joining Knightsbridge Advisors, Allan served as partner at Riotto-Jones, an executive search firm, where he successfully led CEO and high net worth sales searches and gained significant acquisition experience.
Before that, he served as CEO and managing partner for Oceonics, an international property development and financial services company, where his partners included former U.S. Treasury Secretary William E. Simon. He also worked as General Manager for Miller Druck International, an international contractor in London, after spending five years as Project Manager for Turner Construction in New York.
Through personal associations, Allan served as business advisor to the Duchess of York from 1991 to 1995, overseeing her family office and working with her to establish a Children’s Foundation with Princess Esmeralda of Belgium.
A 1979 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Allan served as a Green Beret, Airborne, Ranger and Army Intelligence Captain before joining the Defense Intelligence Agency, where he was decorated for his covert collection operations in the Grenada, Korean and Chad/Libyan crises. While assigned to the Pentagon working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Allan was selected as an aide to President Reagan and served in that capacity until leaving government service in 1985 to pursue a business career.
Allan has published numerous articles on wealth management trends and is currently a guest columnist for Private Asset Management. He is also frequent speaker at industry conferences and events and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, the Harvard Club of New York, the West Point Society of New York, New York Athletic Club and Microsoft’s Capital Market’s Advisory Board.
An international bestselling author, Allan has penned three biographies, including Jet Set: Memoir of an International Playboy; Fergie: Her Secret Life and, most recently, A Date with Death. In connection with his work as a writer, Allan also appears regularly on A&E and Fox.
Allan earned a Masters degree in Strategic Intelligence from the Defense Intelligence College in 1985, and a Ph.D. in Business from American World University in conjunction with Templeton College Oxford in 1993. Fluent in German and French, he has also attended post-graduate business curricula at Templeton College, Oxford University and Harvard Business School.
Steven Wade is a Partner at Knightsbridge Advisors, Inc. With more than 25 years of experience in executive search, management consulting and human resources in the financial services industry, Steve has recruited CEOs, COOs, CIOs, regional sales managers, senior portfolio managers, chief fiduciary officers, and investment sales professionals in both family offices and private wealth management firms.
Prior to forming Knightsbridge Advisors in 2005, Steve spent 13 years at the executive search firm of Riotto-Jones. During that time, he played an integral role in building the fiduciary management organizations of some of the world’s most prestigious brokerage and mutual fund companies, including Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch Trust and Fidelity, among others. Having placed 150 fiduciary professionals nationwide in the last ten years, Steve has also developed a specialty in international and domestic estate planning.
Prior to joining Riotto-Jones, Steve spent 17 years as a human resources executive in the financial services industry, developing specific expertise in recruitment, manpower planning, organizational design and compensation. Prior to that, he served as Principal at Organizational Renewal Associates (ORA), a management-consulting firm in Philadelphia, where he consulted in team-building and man-power planning an experience that contributes to his ongoing ability to assist clients in building stronger and more effective organizations.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from LeMoyne College in 1964 and an MBA in Organizational Development from Drexel University in 1971. He resides in Westchester with his wife, Diane, and their daughter, Julianna.
Paul has completed searches for positions including Vice Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Senior Executive Vice President and other functional senior managers in specialties including Corporate Banking, Treasury, Finance, Retail Banking, and Administration. Industry assignments outside of the financial services industry have included positions in marketing, treasury, finance, and general management.Prior to entering the search profession, Paul was a banker for over 34 years. Beginning his banking career at Pittsburgh National Bank and later Wachovia Bank and Trust Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Paul joined NatWest Bancorp in 1982 and managed the US and Regional banking groups. Paul became head of corporate banking, and was named President, CEO, and a member of the board of NatWest USA, a $17 billion subsidiary of NatWest Bancorp in 1991.Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Executive Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Past affiliations include serving on the Best Practices Council of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Citywide Advisory Board of Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City, and the Bankers Roundtable.Paul has been a director of Audiovox Corporation, a Nasdaq-listed company since 1997, and he currently chairs the audit committee of Audiovox.
Research/Execution and Business Development
Patricia Rios and Sara Farkas provide in-house research to include development of target lists, and initial candidate contact. They are responsible for coordinating all candidate interviews, organizing travel, logistics, and maintaining on-going contact between clients and candidates.

Patricia has been with Knightsbridge Advisors since 2005. Prior to this she worked with Dr. Allan Starkie and Mr. Steven R. Wade at Riotto-Jones & Company from 2000 to 2005. Patricia is currently responsible for research, administration, and office management.

Sara rejoined Knightsbridge Advisors in 2008. During her absence she was with another boutique Executive Search firm in New York. While there, Sara focused on executive searches in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Business Development, and Operational roles for their Fortune 500 and Private Equity clients. Prior to this, Sara had been with Knightsbridge since its 2005 inception. Sara is currently responsible for Execution as well as Business Development in Senior Executive Placements and Mergers and Acquisitions. Before joining Knightsbridge, Sara was responsible for research and administration at Riotto-Jones & Co with Dr. Allan Starkie and Steven Wade. Sara graduated in May of 2002 on the Dean’s List from the University at Albany with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. She is an active member of The Brooklyn Historical Association, The Brooklyn Museum, and Amnesty International.
